David Snowden BA (Econ) M.IIBA M.APM PMP FRGS

David is an enterprising Project & Business Change Professional with over 25 years’ experience developing and delivering innovative IT and business/process change strategies for prestigious organisations in multiple sectors and geographies. He is an entrepreneurial agent of change with an impressive record of organisational transition and transformation, including delivery of strategic technology projects, business integrations and the transition of service delivery. Well-honed analytical, influencing, general management and interpersonal skills allied with a customer-centric mindset and ability to improve communications between projects, programmes and business operations. He has a recognised ability to manage, develop and lead multifunctional teams to deliver cost effective enterprise solutions and sustained business benefits.

After graduating with a degree in Economics and Politics David joined the Law Society of England and Wales where he began his 30-year data processing career by computerising the records of legal practitioners and formally qualifying as a data processing professional before moving on to a career in system development. At RHM Computing David developed new systems and enhanced and maintained existing systems for the flour-milling division, including a pallet-marshalling system that saved the Group over £1,000,000 a year before moving into systems consultancy with Fraser Williams Hertfordshire. David’s shipping experience began as Senior Analyst with P&O Containers where he established the group’s information centre, providing end-user consultancy, advice and guidance and working on ship husbandry systems and the technological aspects of dry-docking and new build specifications for deep ocean cargo ships.

After moving to the Heart of England David began working as an ICT consultant in private practice with clients including: De La Rue Card Technology, the Adare Group of 17 companies, Total Control Systems (UK) plc and Fyffes Group plc, Evesham Micros, Bovis Lend Lease EMEA, the Project Office of the National Exhibition Centre, Trinity House Lighthouse Service, NationalExpress Group, the Charteris consultancy (local government consultancy) and his own companies, Abbeygate IT Solutions and AMDS.

In his spare time David provides pro bono project services to Worcestershire County Council, Wychavon District Council and Evesham Town Council surrounding the redevelopment of Evesham town centre and development of tourism in the Vale of Evesham, including working as editor of a publishing operation for Evesham Town Council. He is a trustee of two heritage and educational charities and is currently working with British History Online to publish biographical seventeenth century records.
